DAP-Mindanao inks MOU with
Surigao Education Center!
The Development Academy of the Philippines-Mindanao with business address at 2nd floor, Carlos Villa-Abrille Bldg. No. 6, E. Jacinto St., Davao City, duly represented by its Vice-President and Managing Director, Reynaldo C. Navacilla and the Surigao Education Center a duly registered educational institution represented by its President, Dr. Bienvenido Alex K. Bautista jointly signed on August 6, 2008 at Davao City a Memorandum of understanding (MUO) for the implementation of DAP-SEC Institutional and Professional Development Program (DAP-SEC IPDP) intended primarily in the provinces of Surigao del Norte and Dinagat as well as in the neighboring provinces in Region VII, X, and XIII.

Surigao Education Center is need of the following manpower: College of Maritime Studies Instructor Hotel & Restaurant Management Instructor Office Secretary Ofice Clerk (Female) Surigao City Division School Press Conference (DSPC) 2008 The Grade School Department bagged First Runner-up in the Overall Competition during the recently concluded Division School Press Conference (DSPC) held last October 11-13, 2008 at the Surigao West Central Elem. School (SWECES) this city. Surigao Education Center congratulates Mr Glenn R. Alceso, Master of Philosophy Mr. Randy E.Pederi, Master of Sociology Mrs.Rosa D. Ecoben, Master of Mathematics For successful obtaining their Masters Degree at the University of San Carlos- Cebu City PSYCHOLOGICAL TEST NOW OFFERED AT SEC The Surigao Education Center now offers Psychological Test for all applicants either supervisory or managerial and also for the rank and file for mining firms and other companies in Surigao del Norte, Dinagat Province and neighboring provinces. CHED Visit 2008 Commission on Higher Education (National Level) conducted a monitoring and evaluation to Surigao Education Center last February 19, 2008 and to other educational institutions in Caraga Region in compliance with Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the "Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002. Youth Act Now: Strengthening Leadership, Empowering Leaders The Office of Student Affairs Office conduct it's annual Student Leadership Seminar with the theme: "Youth Act Now: Strengthening Leadership, Empowering Leaders." This was held at the Surigao Education Center 3rd Floor Audio Visual Room, last July 05, 2008 (Saturday), 2nd Caraga Libraries and Librarians Association, Inc. (CLLA) Regional Convention The Caraga Libraries & Librarians Association, Inc. in cooperation with Surigao Education Center held its 2nd Regional Convention of Caraga Librarians with a theme "The Role of Libraries and Library Professionals in E-Learning: a continuing awareness" last May 22-24, 2008. SEC-CMS Port Visit 2008 The College of Maritime Studies students accompanied by their instructors visit a Philippine Gunbgoat 395 named MV Felix Apolinario under the supervision of Commander Romel Reyes of the Philippine Navy at the Port of Surigao. SEC-CMS Sailor's Week 2008 The College of Maritime Studies celebrates its Sailor's Week last September 22- 27, 2008 with a theme:" 60 years of IMO: the Philippines, a Responsible Member." The event was a great success with the participation of the faculty, staff and students of the CMS Department. Back To School 2nd Semester SY 2008-2009! Surigao Education Center enrolment for 2nd semester school year 2008-2009 is now going on. Classes starts on October 27, 2008 SEC Intramural Games '08 Surigao Education Center commemorated its Intramural Games last August 12-19, 2008. Parade of colors and prestigious opening program served as a starting point to a festive and extravagant week.....
